Help Bring Her Home
Missing since September 19, 2018 · The Bronx, New York City
NYPD Missing Persons Squad · MPIA Case #2018-1943
Kassandra graduated from culinary school while experiencing homelessness. She was rebuilding her life from scratch — and she was succeeding.
Kassandra had a son. Her family is unwavering: she would NEVER have walked away from him. Not voluntarily. Not ever.
One week before she vanished, Kassandra testified before a grand jury about a rape she had suffered. A suspect was indicted on 7 felony charges. Then she disappeared — and the case was dropped.
She had just landed a new job and was weeks away from starting. She had no passport, no license, no credit cards, no car. She wasn't running. She had everything to stay for.
Kassandra left her Bronx residence on the 800 block of Melrose Avenue. This was the last confirmed sighting of her.
Camera footage captured her heading toward the intersection of Melrose Avenue and East 161st Street. Then the trail goes cold.
Kassandra told family she was going to meet her ex-boyfriend, John "Kilo" O'Brien. He gave conflicting stories to investigators. He claimed he dropped her at Hunter's Point train station in Queens — but there is zero evidence of this. No footage. No records. O'Brien has since dropped out of sight.
Kassandra testified before a grand jury about a rape. A suspect was indicted on 7 felony counts. Seven days later, she vanished. The case was dropped.
September 19, 2018. I have been searching for my daughter every single day since. Kassandra was rebuilding her life. She had a son who needed her. She had a future waiting for her. She did not walk away. She was taken from us — and someone out there knows something.
